PODER Health & Wellness Expo Roadshow

PODER/POWER Health and Wellness Expo is a series of Community Events that provide the minority community, the low-income community, and most especially, the older adult community with the “power”, knowledge and motivation to take an active role in their health.

The mission of the PODER events is to reach Pennsylvania’s largest and most vulnerable populations and connect them with education and resources that empower them to make healthy and responsible lifestyle choices.

What We Did

Latino Connection partnered with health organizations on the local and state level to provide these vulnerable communities with health resources and access to health-related education. The Health and Wellness Expo Roadshow targeted toward low income, minority, and older adult demographics in these Central Pennsylvania locations:

Lancaster
Lebanon
Harrisburg
Reading

Close to 3,000 people took part in the live cooking demonstrations with Chef Dave; live fitness activities like POUND with Crunch Fitness; story time with Curious George and more!
